Hirano Aya is a japanese seiyuu, actress and singer who has had roles in several anime including the immensely popular Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuuutsu (涼宮ハルヒの憂鬱; The Melancholy of Suzumiya Haruhi) as the title character, Suzumiya Haruhi.
She was previously a member of the U-15idol group Springs.

In 1998 Aya joined the Tokyo Jidougekidan acting troupe and began to appear in television commercials. She made her voice-acting debut with the anime Tenshi no Shippo three years later, but began to concentrate more on being a part of the U-15 idol group Springs.
After graduating high school in 2006 she began to work full-time as a voice actress and picked up several roles, including Suzumiya Haruhi in The Melancholy of Szumiya Haruhi. She performed several songs for the show, including the opening song, " Bouken Desho Desho ?", whose CD single sold out on the day of release. After this role her popularity skyrocketed and she has since had roles in popular anime such as NANA and Death Note.

Natsumi Abe was one of the first members of the group chosen in 1997. She was also the lead girl for many of the singles especially before Maki Goto joined, most notable in "Furusato" where all the other girls sang harmonies/back-up only. Abe has had a few solo songs including the theme for a commercial she was in, and "Otoko Tomodachi" from the album 4th Ikimasshoi!. She also has lead roles in Morning Musume productions like their play, Love Century and their movie, Pinch Runner. Abe also has done quite a bit of acting in television dramas such as Nurseman.

Natsumi Abe has never been a part of a Morning Musume subgroup but has led each shuffle group she has been in. She was also the lead of Morning Musume Sakuragumi until her graduation at the end of the Hello! Project Winter tour on January 25, 2004.

She released her first single, "22 Sai no Watashi", on August 13, 2003, just a few days after her 22nd birthday. Her first full length CD was released shortly afterwards, containing many solo versions of Morning Musume songs.

At one time, Abe was the most popular member of Morning Musume, and many songs featured her as a lead singer. However, it wasn't until the summer of 2003 that Abe officially went solo. She graduated not too long after that, in the early winter of 2004, to continue on with her solo career.

She continued to release more singles while actively participating in other Hello! Project activities such as concerts, the special soloist group Nochiura Natsumi with Aya Matsuura and Maki Goto, and the Hello! Project super shuffle unit song "All for One & One for All", sung together with all other soloists and groups within Hello! Project at the time.

Morning Musume is currently the most popular group act in Japan. The group originally started out with five members: Aya Isiguro, Natsumi Abe, Asuka Fukuda, Kaori Iida, and Yuko Nakazawa.

Morning Musume was the brainchild of SharanQ's vocalist, Tsunku, on the television program "Asayan." In order to debut, Morning Musume had to sell 50,000 CDs over a span of five days. The girls met the challenge, selling out all 50,000 CDs in only four days. Morning Musume's first Single CD, "Morning Coffee" quickly made it onto the pop charts at number 6. After this single, three new members joined: Sayaka Ichii, Mari Yaguchi, Kei Yasuda. This brought the total count of Morning Musume members up to eight. Their first appearance on Hey! Hey! Hey! Brought the question of “Are any more members coming?” Their second single, Summer Night Town, edged up to number 4 on the pop charts.
