Ryoko Hirosue ,is a japanese actress and popstar. She is best known in the West for her appearance in the movie Wasabi by Luc Besson. She joined the "P&G" cosmetic model competition at the age of 14 and made her television debut the following year singing on the program ,TK Music Camp. She made her television drama debut and is well known for her work as a spokesmodel for NTT DoCoMo.She plays in Japanese Dramas since 1995 after winning a model competition and started a musical career in 1997.She won several awards such as the Newcomer of the Year award of the Japanese Academy in 1998.
